Rowling Mark Van Zandt, age 67, passed away on June 22, 2016 at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York City surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cyndi, his daughters Lisa (Justin), Erin (Steven) and Marisa (Chris), his grandchildren Mia, Ava, Vincent, Giovanni, Carter, Stefano and Will and by his sister Melissa. He is preceded in death by his mother Jane and stepfather Charles Van Zandt.
He graduated from Penn State University in 1971 with a degree in marketing. Upon graduating he accepted a position in sales with The Hershey Company, where he worked for more than 32 years. During that time he and his family moved all over the United States including New York, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Georgia, California and Pennsylvania. After retiring he volunteered as a driver for People Mover, a non-profit senior citizen transport service in Derry Township, and served as Chairman for five years. He also volunteered for the Hershey Information Center. Mark was an avid sports fan (go PSU!), a lover of food, music and world travel, visiting 38 different countries. His enthusiasm for life was contagious. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and he is loved by many. Visitation will be in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Route 422 & Lucy Avenue, Hershey on Wednesday, June 29th, from 5-7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Thursday, June 30th in the St Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 359 W Areba Ave., Hershey with inurnment immediately following at the Hershey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mark's memory may be made to either People Movers, 215 W. Chocolate Avenue, Hershey, PA 17033 or the following program organized by his oncologist in NY: Leukemia Fighters/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, c/o Dr. Gail J. Stella D. (Pappariella) Guyer, 97, of Hershey, passed away on June 19, 2016 in the M.S.Hershey Medical Center.
She was born November 27, 1918 in Annville, daughter of the late Attansio and Maria (DeDonatis) Pappariella. Mrs. Guyer retired after working as a waitress for the former Cocoa Inn & Hotel Hershey. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and their Areba Club. Stella is survived by; daughter, Karen A. Kotchey of Hummelstown; son, Robert M. Guyer of Hummelstown; brother, Aldo Pappariella of Palmyra; sister, Julia Castelli of Annville; 6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren & 1 great great-grandson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James J. Guyer; son, James P. Guyer; brother, Gabriel Pappariella; and a sister, Emma Pappariella. The family will receive guests on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 in the Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, of Hershey, beginning at 6PM and ending at 7:30 PM with a time of prayer. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 10 AM in the St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Ave., Hershey. He was born Monday, July 17, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY to the late John and Mary (Burns) Tighe. He was married to Gloria M. (Hooker) Tighe for over 62 years.
A veteran of the Korean Conflict, William proudly served with the U.S. Navy. He worked for Hempstead Bus/MSBA/MTA for 33 years. In addition to being an avid golfer, Mr. Tighe was also a volunteer fireman with the Wantagh Fire Department for over 30 years where he served as both Chaplain and Commissioner. He was also lector at St. Francis DeChantel, Wantagh, Long Island and lector and cantor at St. Joan of Arc, Hershey. In addition to his wife of Hershey, he will be lovingly missed by his children: Noreen O'Callaghan and husband, Kevin; Michael Tighe and wife Jeanne; William J. Tighe, Jr. and wife, Elizabeth; Timothy Tighe and wife, Susan; Thomas Tighe and wife, Geraldine; Susan Vitale; 12 grandchildren: Michael Patrick Kristin, Sarah, Kathleen, John, Lindsey, Michael, Julie, Melissa, Samantha, Christopher and Taylor; 6 great grandchildren: Marquis, Grace, Sophia, Reilly, Ryan, Peyton as well as a brother, John Tighe. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ardyss McCollom. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Avenue, Hershey, PA 17033 with the Reverend Alfred Sceski as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA with full military honors. She was a retired Managed Care Analyst from Blue Cross. She also served as head nurse for Polyclinic Hospital Operating Room. She was a member of Newmanstown Social Club and St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Hershey. She loved her dog Bella and cat Kitty. She was born February 27, 1939 in Harrisburg to the late Albert and Dorothy Rebecca (Vanalman) Settino. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Joseph Dougas. She is survived by her husband Richard Settino; a son, Michael Joseph Dougas of Mechanicsburg; daughter, Stephanie Ann Harper of Lemoyne; two step-sons, David Settino of Annville and Michael Settino of Hummelstown; a brother, James Naugle and his family of Galeton, PA; and a granddaughter, Sarah Eva Harper of Hummelstown. He enjoyed being there to help and assist others; he did so without any need for anything in return. His wisdom that encompassed “It’s not what you look at that matters, is what you see” was his ability to look below the surface of any obstacle or situation that he encountered.

She was born December 29, 1985 in Harrisburg, daughter of Sherry (Clouser) Koons and the late Alexander Koons. Kristy worked as a preschool teacher for the Derry Presbyterian Church-Derry Discovery Days Program in Hershey and was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Hershey. Her hobbies include scrapbooking, baking, spending time with her nieces and nephew and she loved nothing more than teaching her "little Butterflies" how to fly. Kristy is survived by: mother, Sherry Koons of Hummelstown; sisters, Michelle Myers & Gabrielle Koons; brother, Zachary Koons; grandparents, Robert J. Clouser Sr. and Joan Clouser; companion of Kristy, Shane Spagnola; nieces, Alexa Myers & Cambree Koons, nephew, Colton Williams. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Lillian Koons. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years Vincent (Jim) Cecere and a daughter Mary Louise (Mitzi) Pangia and her siblings, Angelo, Mary Gallo, Anthony, Rose, Ann Tiberi, Virginia Barner, John, Sam, and Victor. Jennie is survived by twin sons, Anthony and his wife Penelope of North Carolina, and Joseph and his wife Becky of Hershey, PA, and her grandchildren Paulamarie, Michael, Joy, James, Andrew, Kimberly, Adam, and six great-grandchildren. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Endicott and St. Joan of Arc Church in Hershey. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 10:30 AM in St. Joan of Arc Church, 359 W. Areba Ave., Hershey, PA. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Wilkes-Barre, (Hanover Twp.), PA at 2 PM. Kupstas, 98, of Hershey, passed away on May 13, 2016 in the Hershey Medical Center. He was born March 10, 1918 in Kingston, PA. He retired from the PA State Police after 25 years of service where he also was a member of the former State Police Rodeo Team. He later retired from the Sico Oil Company.
Joseph was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Hershey. He was an avid fisherman with a love for blue crab fishing which he passed down to his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis (Sternberger) Kupstas and son, Joseph V. Kupstas. Surviving are his 2 children, Susan J. Naccarato of MD and Daniel P. Kupstas and wife, Linda of Hershey. Also surviving are his 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren: John (Diane) Kupstas and their daughter, Mikayla, of Grantville; Michael (Dawn) Naccarato of MD; Philip Kupstas and son, Owen, of Palmyra; Ryan and Paul Kupstas both of Coopersburg; Lisa Naccarato Berkheimer and her daughters, Christina, Haley and Julia all of MD. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 18th at 2:00PM in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory in Hershey. Visitation will be from 1:00PM until time of service. She was born November 5, 1935 in Hershey, daughter of the late Domenico and Gertrude (Clerci) Vieli. Dominish retired from Hershey Foods. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and Chocolate Workers Local #464. She was strong in her faith and enjoyed her independence and working outside around her home and visits from family. Dominish is survived by many nieces, nephews & cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Raymond & Angelo; and sisters, Mary, Eva & Philomena. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, from 9:30 -10:30 in the Hoover Funeral Home & crematory of Hershey; followed by Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11AM in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Ave., Hershey. Interment will follow in the Hershey Cemetery.
